Our Secondary Senior boys took the initiative to feed the homeless in Melbourne city on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. On a Sunday evening in June, our dedicated students came together to make a meaningful impact through community service as part of the Values-In-Action program.
The event, led by our Secondary Senior boys, featured live cooking of delicious sausage rolls with BBQ onions. Our students engaged with the homeless population, serving food and drinks with warmth and compassion.
We are grateful to have served over 120 people that night, ensuring that no one went hungry. The joy on the faces of the homeless as they enjoyed warm meals was truly heartwarming, reminding us of the power of kindness and generosity.
In celebration of Eid, we cut and served an Eid Cake, sharing the joy and significance of the occasion with the homeless. People appreciated the kindness and learned about the importance of Eid Al Adha through interactions with our students.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to "Hasene Australia" and "Craigieburn Quality Halal Meats" for their generous support, which made this initiative possible. Their partnership enabled us to serve a larger part of the community, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of those in need.
We deeply appreciate everyone’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to creating positive change, reflecting the core values of empathy, kindness, and community service at Al Siraat College.
