Community Conversations on Racial and Religious Vilification

A committed group of students, parents and staff members were amongst an audience of over 60 people who attended the first community conversations forum at Council’s Civic Centre in South Morang in the evening of Monday, 8 April 2019.

The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (VEOAHRC) in partnership with Whittlesea Community Leadership Network (WCLN) and City of Whittlesea had invited members of our and the wider community to learn about our rights when dealing with racial and religious vilification.

Representatives of the Commission Mr Ian Row and Ms Rana Ebrahimi gave detailed information on how you can be the change that you want to see, by standing up for the rights that belong to all of us, and the responsibility to do what is good, just and also in the interests of all of us.
