Our Year 3 students reconnected with nature at the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens on their excursion visit yesterday.
The students were taken on a guided tour where they had a chance to touch, feel and smell the various trees, crops and herbs that grow in the Botanic Gardens. The Rainforest Walk amazed them with the cheer height of some of the ferns and giant old trees roots. They were able to collect some pine cones, rose pedals and herbs along the way to create their own potpourri pieces to be taken home at the end of the day.
Students planted sunflower seedlings in a pot which they were also able to bring home to observe their growth in the coming months. The day concluded with some outdoor lunch and play time.
