On Wednesday, 9 May 2018, our Year 2 students travelled to Healesville Sanctuary to further develop their knowledge about life cycles and animal classifications. We observed many different types of animals that call Australia home.
We enjoyed watching the ‘Birds of Flight’ show, that surprised us with a Barking Owl flying over our heads and the Wedged Tail Eagle sitting just behind us. We witnessed the Australian Bilby eating its lunch of peas and corn in the exhibit called Animals of the Night.

Overall this excursion was very enjoyable as we were able to see kangaroos, koalas, possums, snakes and much more.
