Childhood Cancer Advocacy

In 2025, Team Al Siraat proudly marks 13 consecutive years of participation in this incredible cause. As official Ambassador and All Star member of the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), our Team Captain Ms Tanja has been at the forefront of this initiative since the inaugural Great Cycle Challenge in 2013.

13 Years of Dedication & Over $55,000 Raised

What began as a simple initiative has grown into a movement. Thanks to the dedication of Ms Tanja Kubitza and Team Al Siraat, we’ve raised over $55,000 for life-saving research – funding better treatments and, InShaAllah, a cure.

But the fight isn’t over. We ride for the children still battling, the families holding on to hope, and a future where no child faces cancer.

The Great Cycle Challenge (GCC)

The GCC Australia, a fundraising event by the Children’s Medical Research Institute, unites 100,000+ riders nationwide every October to cycle for a cure. Since 2013, participants have ridden millions of kilometres, raising funds to fight childhood cancer.

Why We Ride

💔 Cancer is the #1 disease-related killer of children in Australia.
💔 Over 700 children are diagnosed each year.
💔 Every week, three children lose their battle.

These aren’t just numbers – they are lives, families, futures at stake.
