Junior School: Hajj Simulation 2017

We are fast approaching one of the most sacred times in the Islamic calendar, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj).

In celebration of this very special time, we are once again running the Hajj Simulation for our Junior School students. The details are explained further below.Please take note that the Simulation will be conducted over 2 separate days. Your child will participate according to their Year Level.

Dates

  • Wednesday, 30 August: Years 3 to 6 and
  • Thursday, 31 August: Years Foundation to 2

  • Times: 8.30am – 1.20pm

  • Students: Years Foundation to 6 (with Year 9 students assisting)

  • Purpose: Develop an awareness and excitement for the annual Hajj and learn about some of the relevant details.

Preparation

Boys: Where possible, bring white ihram cloths (white towels/sheets with safety pins are fine). This will be worn directly over their uniform.

Girls: Will need to be in their full school uniform (not sport uniform)

Parents are welcome to attend but please keep any younger children close to you to allow the program to continue as planned.

Please also note that the starting time will vary between 8.40 and 10am depending on the Year level.

We look forward to having your child participate in this year’s Hajj Simulation. In Sha Allah it will assist our children to understand this wonderful event much better.
