Australian Muslims are faced with various challenges that impact on, and make them question their faith and identity. These challenges can include religious, social, political and cultural dimensions.
To overcome these challenges a special class has begun for our Year 10 to 12 students once a month with Prof Mohamad Abdalla of Griffith University in Brisbane. The students had their first taste of the course on Applied Islam last Friday 31 July and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
The next session will be held at the end of this month along with the companion "Applied Islam" session for parents on Saturday, 29 August 2015, insha’Allah.
The Applied Islam course for the senior students will continue for the next 15 to 18 months.
