On Sunday, 17 February 2019, Al Siraat College, in cooperation with “Hasene Australia” was able to host yet another quality service to the homeless people at Queen Victoria market.
The menu available on the night was sausages and chips, with the usual pre-packaged food. It was wonderful to see how appreciative the people were: We had an ecstatic environment in which everyone opened up and talked joyfully over some sausages and chips.
It is important to support everyone, through their highs and lows, but it also gives an insight on how people are living rough on the streets and how we should be thankful for the commodities we take for granted.
I would like to thank the following people for attending and making the evening enjoyable and productive:
- AbuBakr Ayoubi- College Captain
- Bilal Ghouse- Senior SRC member
- Farel Wiratama – Year 11
- Junayd Ayoubi- Year 10
- Yusuf Benamar- Year 8
- Yussef Ayoubi – Year 6
- Ms Noori Ahmad - SRC Coordinator
If you are interested in helping us with this SRC project, please either contact myself, College Captain for the boys Abu Bakr Ayoubi or our SRC Coordinator Ms Noori.
