Parents, get ready for one of the most exciting events on our school calendar! The Annual Primary School Fun Run and Sports Carnival is set to take place on Tuesday, 8th April, promising a morning full of energy, fun, and friendly competition for our students.
The morning will begin with our Novelty Events from 8:20 AM – 10:30 AM. Parents are invited to join us during this time to cheer on their children and enjoy the festivities. However, please note that parents must leave the premises by 10:30 AM through Gate 4 on Laino Boulevard, adjacent to the sports field oval.
Event Details:
- Date: Tuesday, 8th April
- Time: 8:20 AM – 10:30 AM (Parents are welcome during this time)
- Venue: School Sports Grounds
- Dismissal: Students will be dismissed at the usual time of 3:35 PM
Important Information for Parents:
Restricted Access: Parents are only allowed in the proximity of the sports field oval and must not access the canteen or roam the school grounds between 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM.
Coffee Van: A coffee van will be available near the entrance of the sports field for parents to enjoy a warm beverage while supporting the students.
Exit Procedure: Parents must exit strictly via Gate 4 on Laino Boulevard at 10:30 AM.
For Students:
Participants: Students from Years 1-6 are encouraged to participate in the event.
Spending Money: Students (excluding Foundation students) may bring up to $10 cash for stalls available on the day.

The Learning Enrichment Accelerated Program (LEAP) for 2026 is now open for applications from current Year 6 students entering Year 7 in 2026. This program is designed for academically strong, highly motivated students with excellent work ethics, demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours.
Key Features of LEAP
- Challenging Curriculum: The program focuses on rigorous and accelerated content that aims to extend and enrich students in their key learning areas of English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Inquiry.
- Limited Places: A limited number of places are available for Year 7 LEAP entry for 2026 Intake. The ACER HAST Test is open for students who are currently enrolled in Year 6 of Al Siraat College, as well as external students.
- Co-Educational Stream: LEAP classes are a co-educational stream for each year level fostering a diverse, respectful and inclusive environment.
- Long-Term Commitment: Students selected for LEAP are required to be part of the program from Year 7 – 9.
Eligibility and Application Process
Current Year 6 students can now register for the ACER High Ability Selection Test (HAST) to be considered for the LEAP program in 2026.
Application Process:
- External Test: The ACER HAST test is used to meet LEAP Program entry requirements.
- Formal Interview: Successful applicants shortlisted for a formal interview. This interview will further assess their motivation, thinking, work ethic and positive attitudes.
The ACER HAST Test consists of 3 sections:
- Reading Comprehension (45 minutes, approx. 40 multiple-choice questions)
- Mathematical Reasoning (40 minutes, approx. 30 multiple-choice questions)
- Written Expression (25 minutes for a writing task)

At Al Siraat College, we place great value on our Hifz (Qur'an Memorisation) program. To support our youngest Primary students in meeting the requirements for our intensive Hifz program from Year 3 onwards, we offer the Pathway to Hifz program.
Currently, this program is available only to students in Year 1 and Year 2. Due to limited class sizes, entry is highly competitive.
We are now accepting applications for our 2026 Pathway to Hifz program.

Please note: This is not an application for the Hifz program itself. The Hifz intake begins from Year 3, and a separate application is required to join.
Registrations for the 2025 Bachar Houli Foundation Senior Girls Sports Academy is now open
The Senior Girls Sports Academy is a 12-month program that involves a three-day non-residential camp for Muslim girls aged between 15 and 17.
In a culturally safe environment, the program focuses on developing physical activity, health and well-being, identity and leadership, and aims to build confidence within Muslim women in sports – both in the workplace and society.
Participants are selected from Islamic and non-Islamic schools all over Victoria and will engage in an intensive camp run by experienced female Bachar Houli Foundation staff.
Participants will learn from a range of influential Muslim women and guest speakers from different cultural and professional backgrounds to gauge an understanding of the lived experiences of Muslim women in Australia.
The framework for the program has been developed by subject matter experts providing an industry-leading standard curriculum and delivered by experienced mentors.
Whittlesea Bicycle User Group (BUG) is excited to announce an upcoming training session designed to help riders of all levels gain confidence and improve their cycling skills.
