This morning before the school day began, staff members and Hifz students gathered to mark the official opening of the Musalla extension with a special dua led by Sheikh Waseem. Our Hifz students recited Surah Al-Baqarah, seeking protection and guidance for this new sacred space.

Musalla Extension Officially Opened in Time for Ramadan

Alhumdulillah, the extension is now ready to accommodate our growing community for Tarawih prayers and Friday Jummuah during the blessed month of Ramadan. The first Hifz and Ilm classes have already begun using the new space, ensuring that it serves as a place of learning, worship, and spiritual connection.

Taraweeh Prayer Update

As in previous years, the College follows moon sighting. The time to observe the new crescent of Ramadan is tonight after Maghreb. We invite our community to attend Maghreb prayer at the Musalla and stand by for the moon sighting update.

Depending on whether the moon is sighted, Ramadan 1446 AH will commence either tonight or tomorrow (Saturday) night. Taraweeh prayer will commence straight after Isha prayer at 9:45 PM.

As the blessed month of Ramadan draws near, excitement and joy fill the hearts of our school community. Our Islamic Studies Department, with the invaluable support of our dedicated Teacher Assistants, has prepared Welcome Ramadan packs for all Primary students.

Each thoughtfully curated pack includes a date, a Ramadan poem, and a tasbih counter or miswak for our Primary students and staff members. InShaAllah, these small yet meaningful gifts will bring happiness and encouragement, inspiring all to embrace the blessings of Ramadan with open hearts.

Let’s come together as a community and make Eid special for every child!

This week was an incredible one for Al Siraat’s sports teams, with both our soccer and basketball boys and girls delivering dominant performances in the SSV School Sports Victoria tournaments.

🏀 SSV Girls Basketball Dominates!

Our SSV basketball girls’ team also put on a commanding performance, defeating Glowrey 22-4. Their defensive strength and sharp offensive plays made the difference, securing their third win of the season. With a record of three wins and one loss, the team continues to prove their dedication and skill.

A huge congratulations to all our players for their hard work, teamwork, and sportsmanship! The school community is incredibly proud, and we can’t wait to see what’s next for our talented athletes.

Boys’ Soccer Team Continues Winning Streak!

Our boys’ soccer team played a middle-of-the-season game against Glowrey, and it was an intense battle from start to finish. The first half ended in a tense 0-0 standoff, with both teams fighting hard for control.

As the second half progressed, Yassien broke the deadlock with a stunning goal, putting Al Siraat in the lead. The boys showed incredible defensive resilience, holding their ground until the final whistle. Alhamdulillah, the match ended 1-0, marking our third consecutive victory and keeping us first on the ladder! On to the next challenge next Friday, InshaAllah.

Epic Victory in SSV Girls Soccer!

Our girls’ soccer team made history with a stunning 9-0 win over Glowrey Catholic Primary School in the SSV Week 4 Soccer Tournament final! Despite Glowrey’s early control of the match, Ava and Humaira led a powerful comeback, scoring crucial goals that secured the biggest win in our soccer girls’ history. Their teamwork and resilience were on full display, thrilling fans and leaving a lasting mark on the tournament.

Go Al Siraat! Let’s keep the momentum going!

Secondary School recently hosted a special morning tea to warmly welcome all new Secondary students to our College. Organized by the Student Support Department (SSD), this event provided an opportunity for students to connect, share experiences, and receive support as they settle into their new environment.

The gathering was a wonderful occasion where students enjoyed delicious refreshments while engaging in conversations with their peers and staff members. The morning tea provided an opportunity to check in with our new students, ensuring they felt comfortable and supported in their transition to secondary school.

College Principal Mr Fazeel took the time to personally address the students during morning tea, extending a heartfelt welcome and reassuring them that they are now part of a caring and vibrant school community.

At Al Siraat, we recognise the importance of fostering a sense of belonging, and this event was a meaningful step toward ensuring our new students feel at home. We look forward to seeing them thrive on their journey ahead!

Once again, welcome to all our new Secondary students – we are so glad to have you with us!
