This vibrant gathering will be an opportunity for families in our community to come together and celebrate the beauty of the noble Qur’an, while enjoying a fun-filled atmosphere with family, food, and activities for all ages.

Program Schedule:

  • 5:30pm to 7:30pm -  Sports activities at various locations on campus. Engage in exciting sports activities, with separate games for men and women.
  • 7:30pm to 8:15pm – Children Quran Recitation - Watch our young stars showcase their talents in a Qur’an recitation, celebrating their dedication and love for the sacred text.
  • 8:15pm to 8:30pm – Maghreb Salah
  • 8:30pm to 10pm- Qur’an Recitation by Qari Muhammad Ishaq: Let the soothing voice of Qari Muhammad Ishaq guide you through his beautiful and diverse recitation styles. Experience the spiritual connection to the Qur’an as it fills the night air.

The Australian outdoors is a place full of wonder, beauty and adventure. Come along to this free session to build your skills & confidence to help you enjoy the great outdoors within the City of Whittlesea. Join the City of Whittlesea and Rob Richards, Emma Swann and the team from Its Naturally You for Australian Bush Comfort and Confidence, an interactive and fun session helping you to enjoy the outdoors.

The free 2.5 hours session will equip you with the skills to step out into the bush within the CoW and beyond. We’ll show, discuss and role-play the wondrous, bizarre, the secrets, humorous and inviting culture and landscape of the Australian bush. 

Topics will include 

  • Introduction to the Australian Bush, with a local City of Whittlesea lens
  • your local Conservation Reserves
  • Bush Culture
  • Skills and preparation
  • Bush safety
  • Where to find help

We will be running these sessions from the Riverside Community Centre but will also be going for a small walk, so best to wear appropriate warm clothing and sturdy shoes.

City of Whittlesea are often seeking new school crossing supervisors to responsibly supervise school crossings during short morning and afternoon shifts.

To be considered for this important job you need to:

  • be medically fit
  • have your own transport
  • be of good character
  • relate well to children
  • be able to talk to children’s parents and teachers
  • be available to work for 1.5 hours per day, generally between 8-9am and 3-4pm on weekdays during school terms
  • able to obtain and retain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) (paid for by the Council)

Splash’s Learn to Swim is seeking students in Years 9-12 to join our teams of swim teachers and teaching assistants at our centre in South Morang.

Students aged 14 years and over who are reliable, energetic and work well in a team are encouraged to apply. We have shifts available after school on weekdays and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. 

Splash’s offers a fun, dynamic work environment with excellent conditions, including provision of uniform, mentoring and ongoing training.
