For the first time, Al Siraat College were nominated for the National Islamic Schools' Student Leadership & Service Awards hosted by the Australian Muslim Youth Leadership Association as national level awards in Melbourne.
MashaAllah. Our College SRCs won in 10 different categories:
- 1.Individual Awards-Senior Student Leader of the Year 2018 – National Winner: Bilal Syed Adnan (Year 12)
- 2.Individual Awards-Junior Student Leader of the Year 2018 – National Winner: Ammar Ulhaq (Year 5)
- 3.Special Recognition-Best Individual Effort by SRC Member Award – National Winner: Khalid Hussain (Year 7)
- 4.Group Awards-Secondary SRC Group of the Year 2018 – National Winner: Abu Bakr Ayoubi represented as behalf of group
- 5.Group Awards-Primary SRC Group of the Year 2018 – National Winner: Ruqaiya Wazze represented as behalf of group
- 6.Project Awards – Best SRC Project of the Year: Shoebox for Syria – National Winner: Ms Noori and Abu Bakr collected the award
- 7.Special Recognition – Best SRC Report of the Year – National Winner: Ms Noori Ahmad
- 8.Project Awards-Community Engagement Award – Runner Up Winner: Ms Noori and Abu Bakr collected the award
- 9.Certificate of Commendation – SRC School Support Awards 2018: Ms Noori Ahmad collected the certificate for the school.
