Bachar Houli Cup: Year 5 and 6

The Year 5/6 AFL team of the College participated in 8 games in extremely challenging conditions during the Bachar Houli Cup on Thursday, 20 July 2017.

While being battered by the wind and the rain at the Punt Road Oval, the home of the Richmond Football Club, the boys accounted for themselves well winning 4 of the 8 games. The standard of the games played was high across all schools, highlighting how the great game of Australian rules football is becoming more popular within Australian Islamic schools.

With role models like Bachar Houli and Ahmed Saad who the boys admire greatly, the tournament offers a great experience to engage with other Islamic schools and compete to the best of their abilities in AFL.

Good luck to our Year 7/8 and Year 9/10 teams who will compete in their competitions in the next few weeks.
