Today, we proudly celebrated our Term 1 Primary Value Awards, recognising students who have consistently demonstrated our school’s Islamic values. At the end of each term, one boy and one girl from each class are selected for their commitment to upholding these values, serving as role models for their peers.
This term, we focused on the values of Respect and Integrity, encouraging students to practise getting along, being reflective, responding constructively, staying calm, being forgiving, and showing consideration, honesty, and appreciation. These values are fundamental in shaping responsible and kind Muslims, both within our school community and beyond.
Our Values Program will continue throughout the year, with one value published each week on Canvas under Humanities. We encourage parents to reinforce these values at home to further support their child’s character development.
Adding to the excitement of the assemblies was the very first performance of our new Nasheed group, the ASC Songbirds. The talented group of 19 girls from Years 4 – 6 has been rehearsing diligently with their dedicated choir director, Ms Aishah A., sacrificing their lunch breaks twice a week to perfect their harmonies. Their debut performance of the beautiful nasheed "I Look, I See" was truly awe-inspiring. A special mention to our lead singer, Qaseh (Year 6), whose stunning voice led the way so beautifully. MashaAllah!
Adding to the joy of the Foundation – Year 2 assembly, Mr Saleh captivated the little ones with an engaging and delightful puppet show during group photos and as award recipients took the stage. His animated puppet personas brought endless smiles and laughter, ensuring our youngest students remained attentive and excited throughout the ceremony.
Congratulations to all our Term 1 Value Award recipients! Your dedication to these noble values is truly inspiring, and we pray that you continue to grow into exemplary individuals who bring light and goodness to the world.
