Yesterday, Barry and Cynda from "The Historical Tool Box" visited Year 5A and 5B students. They prepared a variety of activities for the students to enjoy. These activities increased the students' understanding of how life was for our early settlers and the types of experiences they had in their daily lives.
The students learnt how to play "Ngaka Ngaka", an Aboriginal version of noughts and crosses. They made chest plates and silver coins, crushed spices and used feathers and ink to write fancy notes.
The students also enjoyed dressing up as some of the famous people who influenced the early settlers. It was a wonderful incursion and we all learnt a lot from it.

Thank you Barry and Cynda for visiting our College.
