The first week of the popular Girls Pilates sessions was a great success with over 28 girls registered from Years 5 to Year 12. Sessions are held in the College Auditorium from 3.45pm to 4.30pm.
In the week ahead, we have 3 sessions left:
- Tuesday, 29 October
- Wednesday, 30 October
- Thursday, 31 October.
Here are some benefits of Pilates for teenage girls:
- Improved Posture: Pilates strengthens the core muscles, promoting better posture and alignment, which is especially important during growth spurts.
- Enhanced Flexibility: Regular Pilates practice increases flexibility, helping to prevent injuries and improve overall movement.
- Strength and Muscle Tone: Pilates focuses on controlled movements that build strength, particularly in the core, legs, and arms, leading to a more toned physique.
- Mind-Body Connection: The practice encourages mindfulness and body awareness, helping teens manage stress and improve mental focus.
- Injury Prevention: By strengthening muscles and improving balance, Pilates can help reduce the risk of injuries in sports and everyday activities.
- Better Athletic Performance: Pilates enhances overall physical conditioning, which can boost performance in other sports or physical activities.
- Confidence Boost: As teens improve their physical abilities and body awareness, they may experience increased self-esteem and body confidence.
